March 16, 2001

I was flipping through some radio stations a day after the Grammy Awards and caught Jurassic 5 on newstalk radio station KGO AMduring the Pete Wilson Program...I almost dropped my brew! It tripped me out to hearPete Wilson(the news anchor and not the former Governor of Cali) actually discussingunderground hip-hop with Jurassic 5 on a newstalk radio station. What's next? KRS-Oneguest appearing on the Rush Limbaugh show? Probably not but you have to admit it wouldbe quite interesting to say the least.

Speaking of KRS-One, his new album "The Sneak Attack" which will be releasedon Front Page Recordings should be hitting the stores sometime in April. This will be his firstalbum since leaving Jive. I wonder if his album will end up coming outbefore Run-D.M.C.'s "Crown Royal" because it was supposed to havebeen out back in February but the date was pushed back again until April 3, 2001.

As for more upcoming releases, be on the lookout for "Droppen The Bomb"from the Bomb Hip-Hop Recordswhich is due to be out on May 29, 2001. This special CD only releasewill also include a bonus disc featuring the very first Bomb album "Bomb Hip-Hop Compilation"which was originally released in 1994 and has been out of print until now. Bomb Hip-Hop is alsoin the process of producing the final volume of the Return Of The DJseries which is "Return Of The DJ Volume IV." For more info on "Droppen The Bomb"or the "Return Of The DJ Volume IV" you can go to www.bombhiphop.comfor all the 411.
